7th International Conference on Disability and Rehabilitation (ICDR 2026)
About the event
The 7th International Conference on Disability and Rehabilitation (ICDR 2026) is a scientific conference organised every four years by the King Salman Center for Disability Research. The seventh edition runs from 11 to 13 October 2026 at the King Faisal Conference Center, InterContinental Riyadh, under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and chaired by Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, with the theme "Royal Patronage, Global Standing". It was first announced for 6 to 8 December 2026 before the organiser moved it.
Three days of scientific sessions, workshops and research posters cover seven tracks: health and rehabilitation integration; inclusive education and psychological support; economic and social inclusion; assistive technology and artificial intelligence; inclusive access and community integration; legislation and governance; and future foresight. The audience spans researchers, academics and practitioners in health, education and social rehabilitation, persons with disabilities and their families, and the boards of disability associations.
The organiser is the King Salman Center for Disability Research, working with a national alliance of fourteen bodies including the ministries of health, education and human resources, the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities and King Faisal Specialist Hospital. Admission is free with prior registration; the ticket is personal and non-transferable, and workshop registration is not yet open.
