Gohar Galstyan

Ms. Gohar Galstyan is a disability inclusion and rehabilitation specialist. She has years of experience working with international organizations, donors, public institutions, and civil society in Armenia. Ms. Gohar is currently heading the Lousé Rehabilitation Center Foundation, leading inclusive rehabilitation and community-based services for children and persons with disabilities. Since 2018, she has promoted the use of the WHO International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) for functional assessment and individualized service planning and was involved in piloting the ICF(CY)-based assessment tool in Armenia. Her expertise includes disability inclusion, rehabilitation, employment, program development, capacity building, and evidence-based policy and programming. She is currently contributing to research aimed at strengthening the Armenian Government's employment strategy for persons with disabilities, and this initiative is supported by the Gernam Government via GIZ. Ms. Galstyan also serves as President of the Child Protection Network. She participates in national and municipal advisory bodies on disability rights and social protection.
