Majid Ibrahim Al-Fayyadh

Majid Ibrahim Al-Fayyadh has been Chief Executive Officer of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC) since October 2017, leading the transformation of one of the region's foremost tertiary and quaternary care institutions across clinical excellence, research, education and financial sustainability in line with Saudi Vision 2030. On 9 July 2025 a Royal Order appointed him Adviser at the Royal Court at the Excellent Grade. A consultant in paediatric cardiology and electrophysiology, he joined KFSHRC in 2001 and rose through senior clinical and executive roles, serving as Section Head of Paediatric Cardiology and Deputy Director of the Heart Centre before becoming Deputy Executive Director for Medical and Clinical Affairs, while also acting as adviser to the Director of the Vision Realization Office at the Ministry of Health. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the King Salman Center for Disability Research and has chaired its Executive Committee since December 2018. His research has been supported by grants from the Dubai Harvard Foundation for Medical Research and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, and he has published in peer-reviewed medical journals; Forbes Middle East ranked him among the region's most powerful healthcare leaders in 2025. He earned his medical degree from King Saud University, completed his paediatrics residency at Tufts University in Boston and a paediatric cardiology fellowship at Columbia University in New York, obtained American Board of Pediatrics certification in 1996, pursued a subspecialty fellowship in paediatric cardiac electrophysiology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and holds a Master of Medical Management from the University of Southern California.
