Fahad Bashiri

Pediatric Neurology

Professor Fahad A. Bashiri is a Professor and Consultant Pediatric Neurologist at the Division of Pediatric Neurology, Department of Pediatrics, College of Medicine, King Saud University Medical City, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He holds several senior leadership roles, including President of the Saudi Pediatric Neurology Society (SPNS), Chairman of the subcommittee for Human Research Ethics (IRB) at King Saud University, and National Delegate of Saudi Arabia to the Asian Oceanian Child Neurology Association (AOCNA). Professor Bashiri previously served as Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics, College of Medicine, King Saud University (2021–2023), where he led academic, clinical, and training initiatives. At the national level, he chaired the Scientific Committee of the Pediatric Neurology Program at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) from 2019 to 2025, contributing to the development of training standards, curricula, and accreditation processes for pediatric neurology in Saudi Arabia. Professor Bashiri is actively engaged in clinical research, medical education, and international collaboration, with particular interests in pediatric epilepsy, rare neurological and neurogenetic disorders, and academic leadership in child neurology. He has published in peer-reviewed international journals and continues to contribute to advancing pediatric neurology through research, mentorship, and professional leadership.
