Roqayah Ajaj

Dr. Roqayah Ajaj is a disability‑inclusion specialist and researcher with more than eleven years of experience supporting people who are blind and visually impaired. She has six years of professional research experience from her study abroad, contributing to published work and projects focused on disability inclusion, accessible learning, and the academic and social integration of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Dr. Ajaj developed several initiatives to support blind and visually impaired students in higher education, created in‑person and online training programs, and conducted research on inclusive practices. She later served as Manager of Planning and Development at a nonprofit organization in Saudi Arabia serving people who are blind and visually impaired, where she led program and strategy development to enhance service quality. Dr. Ajaj holds a PhD in Organizational Leadership and Policy Development, an MA in Special Education and Comparative International Development Education, and a Post‑Baccalaureate Certificate in Disability Policy and Services from the University of Minnesota, along with a BA in Mass Media and Journalism from King Abdulaziz University.
