Desert Architecture KSA Forum 2026

About the event
The 2nd Desert Architecture KSA Forum takes place on 12 and 13 October 2026 at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Convention Center, Riyadh Minhal, bringing together architects, planners, developers, and government representatives for two days of dialogue on desert architecture and sustainable building in Saudi Arabia. The forum builds on its first edition to become a national platform that positions climate-responsive, culturally grounded design as a driver of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 built environment.
Sessions centre on the Saudi Architectural Map and its nineteen regional styles, examining how this framework can shape giga-projects, public infrastructure, and everyday development through passive cooling, smart facades, energy-efficient systems, sustainable materials, and renewable integration. The programme also covers adaptive reuse of existing buildings, desert urban planning, landscape design, and lighting strategies for desert environments, drawing on case studies from ongoing developments across the Kingdom. The agenda is aimed at government authorities and ministries, architectural firms, project owners, developers, consultancies, and engineering, procurement, and construction companies, alongside specialists in design, sustainability, materials, and construction.
Attendance requires a paid ticket purchased through the forum's official registration page, with separate rates for government, municipal, developer, and academic delegates and a higher rate for vendor passes; the programme runs across two days of keynote addresses, panel discussions, and dedicated exhibition and networking sessions.
