Adel B. Alzahrani

Adel B. Alzahrani is Group Executive Director for Community Development Charters at ROSHN Group, where he leads the drafting of the Living Code, the company's emerging national standard for walkable, human-centred communities across its residential developments. He joined ROSHN after a public-sector career that included serving as deputy minister for urban planning and lands and as strategic adviser on urban design and livable cities, work that placed him at the centre of national policy on Saudi Arabia's urban growth. In academia, he held posts at King Abdulaziz University's faculty of architecture and planning, rising from vice dean for quality and development to dean of the faculty before moving into the private sector. His current mandate is to align ROSHN's community guidelines with the objectives of Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program, monitoring international best practice for local application.
