Yara Aljebreen

Chief Representative, Saudi Arabia

Yara Aljebreen is Chief Representative in Saudi Arabia for gmp Architecture & Design, the German practice with one of the longest stadium records in the profession. Running a country office for a foreign design firm means holding the link between the studio's design work and the Saudi side of a project: clients and authorities, the local code and approval route, and the consultants and contractors who take a design from drawings to a built venue. A resident representative has become a practical requirement for foreign practices in the Saudi market, now that much of the work has moved from competitions to direct delivery on site.
