Basim Albeladi is the owner of Al-Ansar Football Club in Medina, one of the clubs transferred to private ownership under the Saudi club privatisation programme run by the Ministry of Sport and the National Center for Privatization. Ownership of a Saudi club at this stage covers the whole business: squad and academy investment, stadium and training facilities, commercial and broadcast revenue, and the governance requirements that come with the shift from a public sports club to a company with shareholders.
