Ali Brita is Head of Dark Store Operations at NANA. He runs the fulfilment sites that exist only to serve online orders: site layout and slotting so that the fastest-moving items sit closest to the packing station, inventory accuracy and stock counts, picker productivity and training, waste control on fresh lines, and the handover to the delivery fleet. A dark store is judged on minutes and on the share of orders that go out complete, so the work is a continuous exercise in shaving steps out of a pick path and in forecasting demand accurately enough that the right stock is in the right site before the orders arrive.
