Ziad Memish
Senior Advisor to HE the Supervisor General & Director Research & Innovation
Ziad Memish is an infectious disease physician who advises the Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid & Relief Centre on medical and humanitarian research, and is a professor of infectious diseases at the College of Medicine, Alfaisal University in Riyadh. He took his MD at the University of Ottawa in 1987 and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and in infectious diseases, a fellow of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of Canada, Edinburgh and London and of the American College of Physicians. Clarivate named him a Highly Cited Researcher every year from 2018 to 2024; he is editor-in-chief of five medical journals and has authored more than 900 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters. He received the King Abdulaziz Medal of the First Class in 2007 for his work in infectious diseases and infection control.
