Chief Executive Officer

Alice Yammine Boueiz joined the Arab Hospitals Federation in 1999 as head of its organising and public relations committee and became chief executive in 2016, since when its membership has grown from about 850 hospitals to roughly 1,720 across 22 Arab countries. Born in Zgharta in north Lebanon, she started out in event management and went on to lead the events and conference group founded by her late father Edmond Yammine, extending its work to the United Arab Emirates through Proconnect Management. Forbes Middle East placed her on its list of the top one hundred healthcare leaders, where she ranked first among the Lebanese entries, and Lebanon awarded her the National Order of Merit for her contribution to healthcare. She has been appointed vice president of the World Council for Medical Tourism, and in 2025 signed a memorandum of understanding with the World Health Organization Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean covering accreditation, quality and patient safety, artificial intelligence, hospital resilience and sustainability and capacity building, alongside a partnership with Egypt's Healthcare Authority.
