Yazeed Al Sufyani is a general partner and chief executive of IB Ventures, the first venture capital fund in Saudi Arabia dedicated to biotechnology. Launched in 2025 with 50 million dollars and headquartered in Riyadh with offices in Switzerland and the United States, the fund backs early-stage companies in therapeutics, diagnostics, digital biology and biomanufacturing. Much of his work involves connecting government bodies, international biotechnology companies and regional health systems, and building public-private partnerships that turn the Kingdom's national strategy for the sector into private investment. He speaks on Saudi biotechnology at international industry meetings such as BIO-Europe.
