Yasser Alobaida

Yasser Alobaida founded Sudair Pharmaceutical Company in 2014 and has led it as chief executive since, opening its first plant in Sudair Industrial City in 2015. In 2024 the company concluded an offtake and technology transfer agreement with Sanofi and NUPCO, the national unified procurement company, to localise insulin manufacturing in the Kingdom: a seven-year arrangement under which Sanofi transfers its biotechnology know-how and a dedicated insulin manufacturing and packaging plant is built in the Kingdom. The company has signed eight cooperation agreements with universities to develop national pharmaceutical talent, including a partnership with Qassim University in 2025. He holds a doctorate in hospital administration and quality management, has served since March 2018 as vice chairman of the National Committee for Pharmaceutical Industries at the Council of Saudi Chambers, and sits on the boards of the Halal Products Development Company and the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. Forbes Middle East ranked him thirty-second among its top healthcare leaders for 2025 in the founders and shareholders category.
