Wahid Awad

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Wahid Awad is an Egyptian-born geneticist who founded Rosetta Omics, a Paris company applying multiomics data and artificial intelligence to precision medicine in cancer. He started the company while studying for an MBA at ESCP Business School and launched it in 2023; it is incubated at Agoranov and Station F, backed by Bpifrance, and has won a France 2030 grant under the country's artificial intelligence pioneers programme. He holds a doctorate in genetics from Colorado State University and has spent about two decades in biotechnology across Europe, the United States and the Middle East, having moved from academic research into the pharmaceutical industry. He serves on the executive boards of the Medicen Paris Region and Paris Saclay Cancer clusters.
