Tesfahun Melese Yilma

Digital Health Director

Tesfahun Melese Yilma is an Ethiopian public health informatics specialist working with the Center for Digital Health and Implementation Science, a centre of excellence established in 2016 by the University of Gondar together with Ethiopia's Federal Ministry of Health, with offices in Gondar and Addis Ababa. He works in the department of health informatics at the University of Gondar, and his research covers electronic community health information systems, data quality and information use, health extension workers in digital environments, and implementation research. He has co-authored maturity assessments of Ethiopia's District Health Information System version 2 and of the country's electronic community health information system. He holds a BSc in public health from the University of Gondar and an MSc in health informatics from Addis Ababa University.
