Partner and Head, South Asia and Middle East

Sunil Thakur is a partner at Quadria Capital, one of Asia's largest healthcare-dedicated private equity firms, where he heads investing for South Asia and the Middle East, sits on the investment committee and co-founded HealthQuad, the group's health technology venture fund. He has more than two decades in investing, mergers and acquisitions and capital markets, worked in investment banking before joining Quadria, and holds a master's degree from the Delhi School of Economics. He has led complex transactions in healthcare delivery, services and allied sectors, and sits on the boards of portfolio companies including the home healthcare provider HealthCare at Home India, the dialysis network NephroPlus and Maxivision Super Speciality Eye Hospitals, several of which have expanded into India's smaller cities. Quadria closed its third fund at about 1.07 billion dollars in 2025, above its 800 million dollar target, while HealthQuad's third fund targets 300 million dollars. Part of that capital came from the Gulf, and the firm is building a healthcare presence across Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait.
