Sam Shah

Director of Health Data Management

Sam Shah is a digital health leader who directs healthcare data management at NEOM in Saudi Arabia, where the health and wellbeing system is being designed around digital and data technologies, with analytics intended to link health data to wider determinants such as retail, entertainment, sport and agriculture. He has also worked on tools that let people in remote or conflict-affected settings carry their medical records with them and reach telehealth support. Before joining NEOM he was director of digital development at NHS England and NHSX, leading national digital transformation programmes, and he later served as chief medical strategy officer at the online healthcare provider Numan. He is a non-executive director of the Private Healthcare Information Network, the body that publishes performance information on private healthcare in the United Kingdom.
