Ravikiran Annaswamy is chief executive and co-founder of Numocity Technologies, a Bengaluru electric vehicle charging software company whose cloud platform lets consumers and fleet operators discover, access and pay for fixed chargers and battery-swap networks on a pay-as-you-go basis, while monitoring the effect of that charging on the electricity grid. He founded the company in 2018 with Siddharth Sreenivasan, and in May 2022 ABB E-mobility acquired a controlling 72 per cent stake with the right to take full ownership by 2026. He is an engineering graduate of University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering in Bangalore and holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. His career spans more than twenty-five years in entrepreneurship and business leadership, including senior roles at Nokia Siemens Networks and Siemens, where he was innovation head for the Nokia Siemens Networks site in Bangalore, and before Numocity he founded and led Innohabit Technologies, an analytics and deep learning products company. He chaired the IEEE Bangalore Section in 2014 and 2015, held Asia-Pacific board positions with the institute, served as vice-president for membership, marketing and communications at its Technology and Engineering Management Society between 2020 and 2022, and is now a senior member of its board of governors. His awards include the Siemens Director's Award for Innovation and the IEEE Bangalore Best Volunteer Award.
