Raed Kadri
Head of OVIN
Raed Kadri heads the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network and is vice-president for strategic initiatives at the Ontario Centre of Innovation, through which the network is delivered. OVIN is a Government of Ontario programme that funds research and development, talent development and technology demonstration in automotive and mobility, covering electric vehicles, connected and autonomous vehicles and transport infrastructure. He holds a bachelor of applied science in industrial engineering from the University of Windsor, a master of science in industrial engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit, and a master of science in business and management research from Henley Business School in the United Kingdom, and is pursuing a doctorate in business administration at Henley in partnership with the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. He was previously director of automotive technology and mobility innovation at Ontario Centres of Excellence, and led both the Autonomous Vehicle Innovation Network that preceded OVIN and the Automotive Supplier Competitiveness Improvement Program. He was named a 2018 Automotive News Canada All-Star, and under his leadership the network backed a roughly seventy million dollar investment establishing nine regional technology development sites across Ontario.
