Martin Tillman

Founder

Martin Tillman is the founder of TMP Consult, an independent transport planning advisory based in the United Arab Emirates that delivers transport master plans, public transit planning, pedestrian and cycling studies, traffic modelling, parking design, electric vehicle strategy and event transport coordination across the Gulf. His career spans more than thirty years internationally, close to two decades of it in the Middle East. He served as Executive Director for Mobility at Qiddiya in Saudi Arabia, responsible for every land transport mode from high-speed rail, metro, roads and buses to shared and active mobility, and before that led transport strategy for Ras Al Khaimah Municipality. At AECOM Middle East he was Director of Strategic Transport Planning, covering transport modelling, development planning, transport technology, road safety, parking and freight. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation, a Fellow of the Institute of Transportation Engineers and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, and is immediate past chair of the CIHT Middle East group. He sits on the advisory board of Abu Dhabi University's civil engineering department, advises the Airbus Expert STAR programme and mentors on the UAE Federal National Experts Programme. Earlier postings took him to the United States, Hong Kong, Qatar, France and the United Kingdom.
