Rami Abu Hayah
CEO
Rami Abu Hayah is chief executive of CATEC, a technology company founded in 2005, headquartered in the United Arab Emirates with offices in Jordan, the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia. It works in three lines: electric vehicle charging solutions, digital transformation and enterprise correspondence systems, and smart waste management. Its mobility arm, CATEC Mobility, is the regional representative of EVBox; it installed BusinessLine chargers at the LeasePlan Emirates headquarters in Abu Dhabi in 2021 as the first phase of that partnership, and entered the Saudi market with chargers certified by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization in partnership with Al Sharif Group. He founded CATEC Energy and co-founded Limitless Information Technology, sits on the boards of Life Diagnostics and Tarheel Waste Management, and is a partner at Medical Park Consultants. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from Applied Science Private University in Amman. In early 2025 he forecast that electric commercial vehicles would exceed half of global sales by 2030, noting that transport accounts for around twenty-seven per cent of greenhouse gas emissions.
