Deputy General Manager
Kivanc Karayol is deputy general manager at SANY Group, with responsibility for strategic growth in Saudi Arabia, North Africa and Turkey, concentrated on electric trucks, solar energy, wind turbines and the wider renewable energy transition. SANY is a Chinese heavy industrial equipment manufacturer producing concrete machinery, excavators, cranes, road and port equipment, mining and tunnelling machinery, trucks and renewable energy equipment; in Saudi Arabia it signed an agreement with Saudi Global Ports, a Public Investment Fund company, to supply eighty electric trucks to King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam. He has nineteen years of commercial leadership experience across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, with earlier roles at the Volvo Group, Volvo Trucks and British Petroleum. He began his career at Volvo Group Turkey in 2010 selling parts to Volvo fleets, established the service contracts department there and closed Volvo Trucks Turkey's first service contract sale in 2011, then moved to Dubai with aftersales responsibility for twelve Middle Eastern countries and held sales, aftersales, network and business development roles at the Volvo Trucks Middle East office. He holds a bachelor of applied science in industrial engineering from Bilkent University in Turkey.
