Pilar Fernandez Hermida founded i-Expand, a commercial strategy and international expansion consultancy for health technology and deep technology companies, with offices in London, Barcelona and Athens. She has more than twenty years of experience launching commercial strategies across six continents, and before founding the firm worked in the global leadership teams of Cisco and Wolters Kluwer, where her record includes double-digit year-on-year growth and 350 million dollars raised in funding. i-Expand advises on market entry, channel and ecosystem development, go-to-market planning and European Union funding, carries out commercial due diligence for investors, and runs a Go to Market Academy through which more than 500 companies have passed. She speaks nine languages, holds two first-class degrees and a project management certification from Stanford, sits on boards including Women TechEU and the British digital health association DHACA, and speaks regularly at digital health events including Frontiers Health, GIANT Health and Abu Dhabi Global Health Week.
