Othman Alkassabi

Chief Executive Officer

Othman Alkassabi has been chief executive of Tawuniya, one of the largest insurers in Saudi Arabia and a company listed on the Saudi Exchange, since September 2023, having been named acting chief executive in April of that year. Born in Riyadh in 1983, he took a bachelor's degree in rehabilitation sciences and physical therapy from King Saud University in 2007, an MBA from Furtwangen University in Germany and an executive master's in global leadership and management from Al Yamamah University. His career of more than 20 years has moved between healthcare provision, health insurance regulation and insurance itself: he held roles at Sultan bin Abdulaziz City for Humanitarian Services through the 2010s, then served in the leadership of the Council of Health Insurance, the regulator of the Saudi health insurance market, where he also acted as its spokesman. He joined Tawuniya in 2021 to run its health and life sector, the company's largest line of business, and chairs the boards of three of its subsidiaries. He sits on the board of trustees of the Financial Academy.
