Ossama Shaheen
Executive Council Member | Strategic Marketing Advisor
Ossama Shaheen has spent more than 34 years in marketing, corporate communications and strategic alliances across the industrial, commercial, financial, banking and healthcare sectors. He sits on the executive council of the Arab Hospitals Federation, the independent non-profit founded in 1999 that represents Arab healthcare providers and works on quality, safety and governance, and he chairs its sustainable development goals division, one of a set that also covers digital health, global alliances and executive leadership training. He is president of the Arab African Council for Awareness and heads the Africa chapter of the World Council for Medical Tourism, and he is a strategic marketing adviser to the Egypt Healthcare Authority. He holds a Master of Public Administration and studied at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport between 2003 and 2005. He argues that Egypt should build its health tourism sector around a single digital platform managing the patient journey from booking to departure, state supervision of quality, and scientific development of the country's natural therapeutic sites.
