Fadi Alame

Fadi Alame has represented Baabda, the third district of Mount Lebanon, in the Lebanese Parliament since 2018 as part of the Development and Liberation bloc. He chairs parliament's Foreign Relations and Emigrants Committee, sits on its Health, Labour and Social Affairs Committee, and takes part in inter-parliamentary networks linked to the World Health Organization, the World Bank and the IMF. He sits on Lebanon's Economic, Social and Environmental Council. Since February 2019 he has been president of the Arab Hospitals Federation, the regional body for hospital standards, accreditation and health cooperation, and he has been vice-president of the Syndicate of Private Hospital Owners in Lebanon since 2013. He has chaired the board of Sahel Medical Group since 2002 and directs Sahel General Hospital in Beirut. He also sits on the board of the Modern University for Business and Science and on Honeywell's healthcare advisory board. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and postgraduate qualifications in public health and hospital administration from universities in the United States and the United Kingdom.
