Mohamed Mansour is a consultant in internal medicine and nephrology at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust in the United Kingdom, where he trained through higher specialty training in medicine and nephrology. He holds the European Board certification in nephrology and a fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in Britain. He founded El Doctoor, one of the leading Arabic-language medical education platforms, which pairs a website with a YouTube channel and is followed by more than one and a half million people across YouTube and social media, and he runs a second channel addressed only to healthcare professionals that reaches close to ninety thousand doctors and medical students, covering artificial intelligence, innovation and the future of clinical practice. He co-founded Digital Doctors, the first medical influencer network in the Arab world, which helps healthcare organisations work with practising physicians on public health communication rather than with general advertising talent. His stated aim is to bridge evidence-based medicine with public communication and to help physicians use digital media responsibly.
