Jemshith Ahmed is vice-president for strategic planning and medical affairs at Abeer Medical Group, working from the group's Jeddah headquarters on planning, growth and clinical governance. Abeer was founded in Jeddah in 1999 by Alungal Mohammed, who remains its founder and president, and has grown into a multinational operator of more than fifty healthcare facilities, among them hospitals, polyclinics, pharmacies and optical centres, across Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait and India, serving in excess of four million people a year. In Saudi Arabia the group is present in six cities and has set out plans to reach more than fifteen cities and add around forty new centres, together with two new service lines, Lavender Health for premium specialty clinics and Abeer Express for neighbourhood primary care. The group marked twenty-five years of operation in the Kingdom in 2024 and has been listed among the region's fifty largest healthcare companies.
