Chief Executive Officer of Weatherford International since October 2020, one of the largest oilfield services companies in the world. Born in India, he studied mechanical engineering and holds an MBA, and spent around twenty years at General Electric moving between its healthcare and oil and gas units in the United States and India, in operations, marketing and product development roles. He then moved to Exterran, the gas processing services company, as chief executive before joining Weatherford. He took charge of the company as it emerged from a Chapter 11 debt restructuring, and managed the reduction of its debt, the relisting of its shares on NASDAQ and the recovery of its credit rating, while focusing the portfolio on well completion, directional drilling and pressure management technologies.
