Georgi Chaltikyan

Professor and Head of Digital Health

Georgi Chaltikyan is professor of digital health at the European Campus Rottal-Inn of Deggendorf Institute of Technology in Germany, which he joined at its launch in 2015. He heads the Master of Digital Health programme, run as a double degree with the Russian-Armenian University, and heads the campus WHO Collaborating Centre for education, research and development in digital health. He founded the DigiHealthDay forum and the Armenian Association of Digital Health. He earned his MD and PhD at Yerevan State Medical University and practised as a general surgeon for around two decades before moving into health informatics, and was a Fulbright visiting scholar at the Keck School of Medicine in the United States. His teaching and research cover digital health education and national and global digital health policy.
