Fabio Scutella
Clinical Assistant Professor in Restorative Sciences and Biomaterials
Fabio Scutella is an Italian prosthodontist and educator who teaches restorative sciences and biomaterials at Boston University's Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. He graduated in dentistry in Italy in 1991, then trained in prosthodontics at the Goldman School from 1996 to 1999, taking the Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study and a master's in dental materials from its biomaterials department. From 2017 to 2020 he headed oral rehabilitation at the Humanitas Research Hospital dental centre in Rozzano, Milan, and since 2017 has been a visiting lecturer on the Linhart Continuing Education Program at New York University College of Dentistry. He was president of the Boston University Italian Alumni association from 2018 to 2023. He has written two books on prosthodontic and implant dentistry, one on the mechanical behaviour of composite layered ceramic beams, co-authored volumes on immediate loading and guided implant surgery, and lectured at over 200 international congresses. He founded the dental education platform osteocom.net, belongs to the Italian Academy of Prosthetic Dentistry and practises privately in Milan.
