Bernard Tannoury leads Benta Group, a Lebanese pharmaceutical group whose products are registered in more than 40 countries and which reported sales of about 77.5 million dollars in 2019. He has been chairman and chief executive of Benta Pharma Industries since 2004 and of the group's holding company since 2005, and holds the same office at BentaMed, CardioPack, Benta PowerTech and Benta SAS. The group now runs seven affiliates and manufactures in four countries: its Lebanese plant, Benta Lyon in France, acquired in 2021 from Famar with an investment programme reported at 42 million euros through 2026, Nerpharma in Milan, a contract development and manufacturing operation for high-potency and oncology products, and Benta Saudi, a specialised biologics facility in Saudi Arabia, alongside Benta Trading, which has represented international pharmaceutical companies since 1989, and the medical device arm BentaMed. Benta has also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Avalon Pharma in Saudi Arabia. He has spoken publicly about the role of Lebanon's domestic pharmaceutical industry during the country's economic crisis.
