Associate Executive Director for Nursing

Badryah Alshehri leads nursing at Riyadh First Health Cluster and is executive director of nursing at King Saud Medical City, the cluster's flagship hospital. The cluster serves more than 3.6 million beneficiaries through 157 primary care centres, a medical city and 18 general and specialised hospitals with a combined capacity of around 4,000 beds, among them King Salman Hospital, Al-Iman Hospital and Imam Abdulrahman Al-Faisal Hospital. She completed a PhD at Queen's University Belfast in July 2022, supervised by Kevin Gormley, Gillian Prue and Karen McCutcheon, with an exploratory qualitative study of communication and information exchange between emergency medical teams during emergency situations in Riyadh. With the same group she published a systematic review of the use of information and communication technology between emergency medical teams, which appeared in Biology and Medicine in July 2022. In 2024 she closed the nursing improvement programme at King Saud Medical City, at which nursing departments presented performance improvement projects, and announced a new edition of it directed at innovation.
