Antony Kalindjian
Investment Vice President
Antony Kalindjian is an investment vice president for life sciences and health technology at SoftBank Investment Advisers in the United Kingdom, the manager of the SoftBank Vision Funds. He qualified in medicine at the University of Oxford and worked in life sciences strategy consulting at L.E.K. Consulting before moving into venture capital. The first Vision Fund was launched in 2017 with more than 100 billion dollars of capital from SoftBank Group together with sovereign and institutional investors, making it the largest technology-focused investment fund in the world, and a second fund followed. The funds back growth-stage companies with a thematic emphasis on artificial intelligence across hardware, infrastructure and applications, and their healthcare and life sciences holdings run from drug discovery through diagnostics to care delivery in the United States, Europe and Asia. Among them is Ventus Therapeutics, a company working on previously undruggable inflammation targets, whose 140 million dollar Series C round in February 2022 was co-led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and RA Capital Management.
