Secretary General and Chief Executive of the World Energy Council, headquartered in London, a global network founded in 1923 with national committees in some ninety countries, publisher of the World Energy Scenarios report and of the Energy Trilemma Index, which measures countries on energy security, equity and environmental sustainability. A British national, she holds a doctorate in physics and specialises in scenario building and foresight. She worked at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development as head of its strategic foresight programme, and led research programmes on energy and climate at the Oxford Martin School at the University of Oxford. She has written on turning scenarios from a corporate planning tool into an instrument of dialogue between governments and societies.
