Andrea Stegher
President
President of the International Gas Union, a global non-profit founded in 1931 whose members come from some ninety countries representing the greater part of the world gas market, and whose best known activities are the triennial World Gas Conference and its regular reports on liquefied natural gas and gas markets. An Italian national, he has spent his career in the European gas sector across transport, storage and trading, and worked at the Italian gas transmission group Snam in international relations and business development roles. Before the presidency he served as vice president of the union and on its executive committees. Among the positions he advocates in the role are the part natural gas plays as a bridge in energy transitions and the widening of gas access in developing markets.
