Ahmed Mustafa

Chief Nursing Officer

Ahmed Mustafa is chief nursing officer at Care, the Riyadh-based healthcare group operated by National Medical Care Company. The company was established as a closed joint-stock company in October 2003 by the General Organization for Social Insurance and a group of shareholders, and was listed on the Saudi stock exchange in 2013 under the trading symbol 4005. It runs a network of hospitals and clinics in the Kingdom, among them Al Rawabi Care Hospital in Riyadh, opened in 1990 and formerly the Social Insurance Hospital, and Al Malaz Care Hospital, which dates back to 1966, along with Al Salam Hospital in Riyadh, Al Haram Hospital in Makkah, Al Balad Hospital in Jeddah, a family health care centre, a behavioural rehabilitation service, a pharmaceutical and medical distribution arm and home health care services. As the group's most senior nursing executive he is responsible for nursing practice, workforce planning, clinical standards and patient safety across those facilities.
