Ahmad AbuSalah directs the Digital Innovation Hub at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh, the unit that tracks global technology trends, builds prototypes and turns them into clinical and operational applications. Under the programme he describes, the hospital has developed more than 30 in-house artificial intelligence solutions and introduced five AI agents during 2025 for clinical note generation, medical translation and self-service data analysis, alongside diagnostic tools that read chest X-rays and brain CT scans and systems that flag pain points in the patient journey. He presented the hospital's applied AI model in radiology at HLTH Europe 2026 in Amsterdam, arguing that governance against bias, hallucination and performance drift has to sit alongside adoption rather than follow it.
