Abdullah Al-Maniri
Strategic Advisor
Abdullah Al-Maniri is a strategic advisor at the Ministry of Health of Oman, where his work has covered the ministry's organisational restructuring, the national digital health strategy and the outsourcing of the health information system. He holds a PhD in epidemiology from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden and was a faculty member at Sultan Qaboos University from 2002 to 2012, supervising master's and doctoral students. He later managed a national strategic research programme on road safety at The Research Council, and from 2016 to 2021 served as vice president for support services and director of strategic planning at the Oman Medical Specialty Board. His published research covers road traffic injuries, health systems and health services research.
