Vishal Bhalla

Founder & CEO

Vishal Bhalla is the founder and chief executive officer of AnalytAIX, and a speaker and writer on artificial intelligence, human experience and organisational culture. His work centres on human-centric, responsible AI, with an emphasis on inclusion, transparency and systems thinking, and he has presented at conferences convened by The Economist, Becker's and the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, in the United States, Abu Dhabi, the Asia-Pacific region, Africa and Italy. He previously served as chief experience officer at Advocate Health, a system of 69 hospitals and some 165,000 employees, and at Parkland Health, whose emergency department is among the busiest in the United States, and as chief human resources officer at Atrium Health Navicent, a 1,000-bed system. He holds a Master of Business Administration together with certifications in artificial intelligence, machine learning and healthcare from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a certification in the ethics of AI from the London School of Economics and one in diversity and inclusion from Cornell University; he is a Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma and a Senior Professional in Human Resources. His writing has appeared in MIT Sloan Management Review, Forbes and Becker's, including a Forbes series on AI in the workplace. He sits on the Patient Experience Board of The Beryl Institute, the advisory board of HR Exchange Network and the editorial board of Patient Experience Journal, and is a subject matter expert and board member of the MDIAS initiative, a partnership between the Food and Drug Administration and the private sector. He has been invited to forums including the White House Round Table for National Preparedness, and was named for four consecutive years among Becker's Healthcare "52 Outstanding Health System Chief Experience Officers" and among Perceptyx's "25 Healthcare HR Leaders to Follow".
