Program Director of Radiology Technology and Medical Imaging in Magnetic Resonance Imaging Board

Mosa Alassiri is a senior magnetic resonance imaging specialist and the programme director of radiology technology and medical imaging for the magnetic resonance imaging board at the Riyadh First Health Cluster, a remit that covers the Saudi board of computed tomography and special radiologic technology together with the medical imaging magnetic resonance imaging track. He holds a doctorate in artificial intelligence applied to medical imaging and a master's degree in radiological sciences, and his practice brings together conventional magnetic resonance work with tele-acquisition, telemedicine and applied artificial intelligence. He works within the radiology department and the magnetic resonance imaging unit at King Saud Medical City, one of the facilities of the Riyadh First Health Cluster in Riyadh, and has contributed to published research on the structured phenotyping of lumbar intervertebral disc degeneration derived from consecutive magnetic resonance imaging reports. His professional interests span the training and certification of radiology technologists, the design of imaging protocols, the delivery of imaging services at a distance, and the use of machine learning to segment, read and classify medical images.
