Razan Al-Hussain
Director of Virtual Care
Razan Al-Hussain is the healthcare digital transformation lead and the director of virtual care at the Ministry of Defense Health Services in Saudi Arabia. A family medicine consultant and a healthcare quality management consultant who holds an executive master of business administration, she leads the implementation and the scaling of virtual diagnostic and therapeutic services across the ministry's health system, together with its healthcare command and control centre. Her work concentrates on transforming the delivery of care through connected digital services, real time operational visibility and decision making grounded in data. She bridges clinical practice, technology and healthcare operations with the aim of widening access, raising efficiency and improving the experience of patients, so that the virtual care programme sits at the meeting point between frontline medicine and the digital infrastructure that supports it. Her dual background as a practising family physician and as a quality management consultant shapes how virtual services are designed, measured and governed within a large military health system.
