Dr Talal bin Abdullah Al-Harigi is the Chief Executive Officer of the Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve Development Authority, with more than five years of experience leading efforts to protect and restore ecosystems. He brings a professional and leadership record spanning more than 29 years, which began at Saudi Aramco before he moved on to lead sustainability initiatives and natural resource management. He holds a master's degree and a doctorate in urban and regional planning, combining academic depth with practical application in planning and sustainability, and is a certified consulting engineer with experience in strategic planning, project development and the management of complex environmental systems. He has led distinctive initiatives in vegetation cover restoration, ecotourism development and partnership building, contributing to the targets of Saudi Vision 2030. He holds that environmental challenges represent an opportunity for innovation and that the next generation has a central role in building a more sustainable future.
