Ahmed Alghamdi

Vice President for Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment

Dr Ahmed Alghamdi is a senior C-suite executive with more than 35 years of leadership experience across the energy, maritime industries, infrastructure and safety sectors. He serves as Vice President for Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment at the National Water Company in Riyadh, following a career in which he held a number of prominent leadership posts, including Vice President at International Maritime Industries, Managing Director at the Saudi Public Transport Company, and QHSSE Manager at SNC-Lavalin. He was named among the top 15 leaders in the Middle East for 2025 and is a recognised expert in HSSE strategy, corporate governance, environmental, social and governance practice, and organisational transformation. He holds the Advanced Management Program certificate from the Wharton School, a professional accreditation in board chairmanship, and a Doctorate in Business Administration in ESG leadership, and is completing an Executive MBA at the Prince Mohammed bin Salman College of Business and Entrepreneurship, alongside several advanced academic degrees and qualifications from respected international institutions. Since 2002 he has served as a volunteer paramedic, and he is followed by more than 25,000 professionals on LinkedIn. He devotes his experience to strengthening safety culture, building safer working environments, and developing the next generation of national leaders and talent across the Kingdom.
