Director of Security

Hamad Alsalman is Director of Security at the FLOW Consortium, which operates and maintains lines 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the Riyadh Metro on behalf of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City and comprises Alstom, Ansaldo STS and Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane. Those lines cover roughly 113 kilometres, 50 stations, three depots and three operations control centres, and passenger security sits explicitly within the contract alongside operations, maintenance and passenger assistance. Metro network security differs from building security: the estate runs above and below ground, the entrances number in the dozens and the crowd moves around the clock, so the design rests on distributed surveillance and rapid response rather than fixed checkpoints.
