Head of AI Governance

Betania Allo is a cyber lawyer and digital policy specialist based in Riyadh, working on artificial intelligence governance, cybersecurity regulation and digital sovereignty. She spent years at the United Nations as a legal specialist in counter-terrorism on projects involving technology in criminal investigation and protecting digital platforms from exploitation by dangerous organisations. She qualified as a lawyer in Argentina and holds a Master of Laws in cyber law and policy from Syracuse University, a Master of International Relations with a graduate certificate in international security from Harvard University, and a postgraduate qualification in cybersecurity and compliance from Universitat Internacional de Catalunya. In 2024 she founded her own consulting practice in cyber law and policy.
