Sherif Ahmed's journey in facilities management is a testament to vision, perseverance and leadership. Over more than two decades he has transformed industries, managed complex projects and built organisations from the ground up, establishing his reputation as a leading expert in the field. His career began with a degree in civil engineering from Ain Shams University, where he later earned a master's degree in the same discipline. That technical grounding laid the foundation for his move into facilities management, a transition that was not merely a career change but a strategic step towards shaping the future of the sector. His early roles at SIAC, Zamil Steel and Vodafone Egypt exposed him to large-scale operations, infrastructure projects and maintenance strategies. Working across construction and engineering projects, he gained a deep understanding of the structural dimensions of facilities operations, knowledge that later became one of his greatest strengths. Driven by a commitment to excellence, he went on to earn a master's degree in facilities management from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom, placing him among the few facilities management leaders in the region holding academic credentials at that level.
