Sameh M. Azzam

Sameh M. Azzam is a senior pharmaceutical and biotechnology executive with more than twenty years of leadership across the Middle East and North Africa. He serves as senior director of biotechnology for the region at Hikma Pharmaceuticals, where he leads the regional biotechnology business and drives growth across biosimilars, innovative biologics, precision medicine, genomics, immuno-oncology and emerging advanced therapies. He has held senior positions with Eisai, AstraZeneca and Hikma, building expertise in commercial strategy, market access, business development, government affairs, organisational transformation and strategic partnerships. He works closely with regulators, health authorities, payers, healthcare institutions and key opinion leaders across the region to expand patient access to innovative treatment. A pharmacist by training, he holds a bachelor of pharmacy from the University of Jordan.
