Muayad Simbawa is the Managing Director of Nemetschek Arabia, where he leads the company's strategic growth and regional operations from its headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As the regional voice of one of the world's leading software companies, he drives Nemetschek's efforts to advance digital transformation across the architecture, engineering, construction and operations sectors, as well as the media and entertainment sector. Under his leadership Nemetschek Arabia is advancing the adoption of openBIM, enabling smart construction practices and supporting sustainable development across giga projects and government modernisation initiatives in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the wider Gulf. He has built an effective regional team, developed long-term alliances with public and private sector leaders and concluded a number of strategic partnerships with leading national entities. Muayad brings more than 18 years of leadership experience at global technology and industrial companies including Siemens, General Electric, SAP, Alstom and Trend Micro, with a strong record in business development, improving go-to-market strategies and driving revenue growth. Before joining Nemetschek he held several leadership positions at Trend Micro, among them Operations Manager for the Middle East and Africa. He also serves on the board of buildingSMART Saudi Arabia, contributing to open standards and digital collaboration across the construction ecosystem. Known for a values-based and transparent leadership style, he focuses on empowering young talent and building high-performing teams. His expertise spans enterprise software, industrial technologies, cybersecurity and cloud computing, with particular emphasis on aligning regional priorities with global digital transformation trends. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.
